New Zealand’s premier motor racing series, The BNT NZ SuperTourers head to five tracks in a seven round 2014/2015 national championship which starts at Taupo on September 27th and ends with the grand final at Pukekohe over the weekend of April 11/12 2015.
The BNT NZ SuperTourers are the headline act of the Hankook Super Series, home of the UDC V8 Utes, the Ssangyong Racing Series and many of the best support categories New Zealand motorsport has to offer.Taupo, Pukekohe, Hampton Downs, Timaru and Ruapuna will host rounds.
V8 legend Greg Murphy, the reigning champion, heads a field of New Zealand’s best drivers including, Angus Fogg, Ant Pederson, Paul Manual, Simon Evans, Tim Edgell, Richard Moore and Andre Heimgartner. The driver numbers will double for the Endurance rounds which historically have attracted over 12 current V8 Supercar drivers, including Kiwi stars Shane Van Gisbergen and Scott Mclaughlin - this year is no different.
Round 3: Fuchs 500 Pukekohe
NZ SUPER TRUCKS join the BNT NZ SuperTourers at round 3 of the Hankook Super Series. It’s the final of the SuperTourer Endurance Series and the Super Trucks return to Pukekohe after a 10 year absence. Shane Van Gisbergen and Simon Evans lead a 16 strong field of 550HP SuperTourer race machines, piloted by 32 of Australasia’s very best drivers. After 500km of racing, numerous pit-stops and driver changes the 2014/2015 champions will be crowned.
